NO ARCHIVNG

While it's very flattering to find out readers have archived our fics on their personal computers and web-sites, we humbly ask that you do not do so, and that you remove any archives you might currently have.

Yes, we were stupid not to post a "no archiving" policy from the beginning. We were naive, and now it's biting us in the ass.

No, we can't force you to destroy your archives. We can stress, however, that this is one of the reasons why we no longer write anything other than the shortest fanfics anymore, and very infrequently at that.

Should this continue, we will have to stop posting any fanfic at all, and will take down the last of our own sites.

Sincerely,
Jarkai

Star Wars, Untitled Drabble

Prompt: For tpm100's "sex."
Character: Padmé.
Rating: Adult.
Count: 100 Words.

Her guilt dissipated. Why hold onto it? Anakin's face often reddened when Obi-Wan entered the room, but Padmé had forgiven him for those silent confessions long ago. Besides, a woman's needs did not cease simply because her husband spent far too much time in the Outer Rim.

Padmé recognized this desire what it was. Slow-building but inevitable, it proved the old saying wrong. Familiarity doesn't always breed contempt. Sometimes it gives birth to something far greater. And gods! No mouth knew her body better than this.

In the dark, beneath her former decoy, Padmé threw back her head and moaned.

A Humble Request

It has come to our attention that someone has archived Silenus without permission. This is more than a tad upsetting, not only because they have overstepped their boundaries, but because they have posted it in an altered form, without pictures. It was never intended to be read that way. Moreover, it wasn't intended to be read again at all. Because we are reworking Silenus into an original work, and because we understand that many publishers can be touchy about accepting things that were previously available on the net, we have done everything within our control to remove it completely. Sadly, our "source" seems very reluctant to admit where she got her altered copy, even though it could harm our chances at publication. If anyone can please provide more information, or let us know if other copies of the novel are available, we would be greatly appreciative.

Thank you.

Kiss Me

Fandom: Star Wars
Characters/Pairing: Anakin Skywalker / Obi-Wan Kenobi
Timeline: Just prior to AOTC.
For: tpm100's prompt kiss me.
Other: 100 words, concrit welcomed, ask before archival, the boys belong to Lucas, cross-posted to IJ.

Kiss me.

Anakin's eyes snapped up. He'd been contemplating his drink, trying to remember if it was the third or fourth of the night, but that didn't matter now. They'd lost their target, and he finally had proof Obi-Wan's orders to "just blend in" always led to getting plastered. He had to be blitzed, with what he'd just heard.

Kiss me.

Anakin stared. How? Obi-Wan's mouth hadn't moved. He licked his own lips unconsciously, unable to look away.

Anakin! Obi-Wan barked through the Force. They're staring! Kiss me!

Anakin blinked. Right, of course.

He sighed and leaned into the kiss.

And a greeting, tails between our legs.

Eating crow doesn't taste very good, but my co-writer and I agree that people should admit when they're wrong, so I suppose we'll have to do so.

We admit we're still not happy with LiveJournal's politics. The way the strike-through was handled left a bad taste in our mouth, and we'd left LJ for that reason, among others. Sadly, the clones just don't measure up. Although we believe IJ's heart is in the right place, constant technical difficulties and waiting nearly two months for the resolution of abuse reports have revitalized our appreciation of LJ. We'll be cross-posting to both again, just as we were before. Neither seems like the perfect option, so we're going to hedge our bets and use both.

Our apologies for the waffling.

- Jarkai

Parting Words

As discussed previously, we no longer wish to support Livejournal in any way. At first we had planned to leave what fanfiction we had already posted here for your continued reading, but have decided against that for a variety of reasons, all of them too lengthy to explain. Let us just say that we'll miss you, and hope that you will stop by our new home on Insanejournal. It's a great service, and we thoroughly recommend it. It is the only place we will be posting fanfiction from now on.

For those of you who do not who not wish to visit IJ, you can follow our fanfiction by adding our RSS feed instead. Updates on our 'professional' fiction can be found here.

Good luck, and may the Force be with you.

- Jarkai
